When we heard about fat bowls for the first time we were instantly hooked. All the joy of a regular yogurt bowl with toppings, except you flip the topping-to-yogurt ratio until you get something much closer to a meal than a dainty parfait.
There really are no rules when it comes to what goes in a fat bowl, but the more healthy fats the more unctuous it will be. Here's how we made the ultimate Moodbeli Fat bowl.
Ingredients
For the Mushroom Adaptogen Bites
- 9 pitted dates
- 3/4 cup raw almonds
- 1 TBL coconut oil
- 1 TBL Moodbeli Mushroom Adaptogen
- 1 TBL almond butter
For the Fat Bowl
- 1/2 cup coconut yogurt (or greek style yogurt of choice)
- 1 TBL almond butter
- 1 TBL raw cashews
- 1 TBL sunflower seeds
- 1 TBL hemp seeds
- 1 TBL cacao nibs
- 1 TBL Moodbeli Cloud Powder
- Handful of fresh blueberries
- Handful of coconut chips
- 1 tsp bee pollen
- 1/2 tsp Moodbeli Golden Turmeric
Directions
To Make the Mushroom Adaptogen Bites
- Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and pulse until the mixture starts to pull away from the sides and you can form a ball with your hands. Continue rolling into bite size balls or if you're feeling lazy press the whole thing into a thin layer on a sheet of wax paper and pop into the fridge to chill. You can cut into bars or roll more balls later.
To Make the Fat Bowl
- Start by placing your big scoop of yogurt right in the middle of your bowl. Arrange your toppings artfully if you're in the mood, or free style if you're in a rush.
- That's it. You might also want to pair with a refreshing glass of Blue Green Lemonade. Grab a spoon and dive in!
