This fizzy adaptogenic elixir has everything Dry January calls for. Pomegranate is an ancient symbol of rejuvenation and a good luck charm for the New Year. Calming Adaptogen is a powerhouse blend of ashwagandha and warming chai spices for soothing stress and increasing vitality. Kombucha vinegar brings acid, depth, and gut health. And bubbly water excites the tastebuds and quenches thirst.

Not to mention, removing the seeds from a pomegranate is a meditation. IYKYK.

Ingredients

For the Pomegranate Simple Syrup

For one Activated Pomegranate Fizz

  • 1 tbl Pomegranate Simple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Calming Adaptogen
  • 1 tbl kombucha vineager
  • ice
  • pomegranate seeds

Directions

To make the simple syrup, combine pomegranate seeds, Calming Adaptogen, honey, and water in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes, mashing the seeds occasionally with the back of a fork to release their juices. Let cool, then strain the seeds. Extra syrup keeps in the fridge for a week or so. If you'd prefer not to heat your honey, add it after the syrup has cooled.

To make the Activated Pomegranate Fizz, add all ingredients to a glass, stir gently and enjoy.
